About wood veneers

Much of the work I do involves custom veneering. There are a lot of misconceptions about veneers, because it is often confused with the very cheap furniture that has vinyl "wood look" surfaces. For certain applications, using veneered panels is much more desirable for several reasons. It is much more stable than solid wood, for large tabletops. Building larger cabinets in solid hardwoods is fraught with problems

Also, veneer allows for grain matching, which makes for a much more pleasing appearance. The very highest quality of timbers are usually sliced into veneer. Thereby, the most beautiful wood grains can be seen worldwide!

Enjoy it!
